Spatial sound field modulation technology and its application in microparticle control

Spatial sound field modulation technology refers to using different acoustic devices or methods to change the propagation direction, shape or phase of acoustic waves, so as to realize the spatial control and manipulation of the sound field. These technologies can use the mechanical action of sound waves to realize the manipulation of microscopic objects such as microparticles or cells, such as capture, movement, rotation, separation, assembly, etc. These technologies have the advantages of being non-invasive, pollution-free, efficient and flexible, and can be used in various applications in biomedicine, materials science, chemical engineering and other fields. Spatial sound field modulation technology and its application case in microparticle control: The spatial sound field modulation technology based on the holographic mirror (holographic mirror) can realize the single-sided acoustic wave suspension and targeted delivery in the air. The wavefront information of the sound wave is quantified by analog-digital conversion and wavelet decomposition methods, and the quantified phase information is encoded on a series of prefabricated three-dimensional units to form a holographic mirror. Such holographic mirrors can reflect acoustic waves of any shape and achieve single-sided suspension and motion control of microscopic objects such as microparticles or cells. The spatial sound field modulation technology based on metamaterials (metamaterial) can realize acoustic wave focusing and targeted delivery in water. Metal sheets with different thicknesses and pores are arranged into a two-dimensional array to form metamaterials. This metamaterial can phase-modulate the incoming plane acoustic waves, and realize the arbitrary shape transformation and focusing of the acoustic waves. Capcapture and movement control of microscopic objects such as microparticles or cells is achieved using this metamaterial in water. The spatial sound field modulation technology based on ultrasonic motor (ultrasonic motor) can realize acoustic wave rotation and targeted delivery in water. A cylindrical ultrasonic motor is placed in water and produces rotating sound waves of different frequencies and directions by changing its rotational speed and direction. This rotating sound wave can generate rotational moments on microscopic objects such as microparticles or cells, and achieve control of their rotation and motion.
