DNA biofunctional Materials

DNA biofunctional materials is a material that uses the special structure and properties of DNA molecules to construct materials with bioactive and biomedical applications. DNA molecules are programmable, self-assembled, recognizable and catalyzed, and can be accurately designed and synthesized to form DNA nanostructures of various shapes and sizes, such as DNA tetrahedral, DNA origami, DNA tiles, etc. These DNA nanostructures can be further functionalized with other molecules or nanoparticles to achieve targeted identification and regulation of cells, genes, drugs, etc., thus showing broad application prospects in biosensing, drug delivery, bioimaging, gene therapy and other fields.

A hydrogel based on DNA self-assembly for building a biologically active 3 D cell culture platform. This hydrogel uses DNA molecules as crosslinking agents to form a porous network structure through DNA hybridization reactions, which can load different types of growth factors and be released in response to specific stimuli, realizing the regulation of cell behavior and fate.
